 The following points may please be brought to the notice of the unit leaders before filling the RASHTRAPATI AWARD Scout/Guide Registration Forms-

1.  A unit must have registered for this year & have valid charter (Reg.) number.

2. Only those S/G whose unit is registered for Prime Minister Shield Competition are eligible to fill up forms. List of registered units (for PMSC) can be downloaded from the Bharat Scouts and Guides’ official website- www.bsgindia.org. Please note that the registration number mentioned in the list may be shown in the Rashtrapati Scout/ Guide Application Forms in the given column.

 This number is to be written on the right top corner of the Rashtrapati Scout/Guide registration forms.

3.  A unit leader must be minimum Advanced Trained SM/GC and holding valid warrant. 

   (Basic trained Scout Masters / Guide Captains are not eligible to SIGN the registration forms.) No Unit leader is eligible to recommend more than 25% of the members of his/her unit (32) for the Award. (Maximum 8 Scouts/Guides).

4.  Scouts/Guides who have completed the syllabus as per APRO II/III and examined  by the badge committee and approved by C.O.H will be eligible to fill up the forms.

5.  Information sheet should be filled correctly and attached with the registration form Correction / overwriting is not acceptable. The Date of investiture on the Registration form and the information Sheet should be the same; if the dates differ the application will be rejected automatically.

Please note that while filling these forms, information sheet should be enclosed with all the three sets.

6. A photocopy of the registration form & information sheet of each Scout/Guide may be kept in the Vidyalaya and it should be brought to Pre-Rashtrapati/Rashtrapati Award Scouts/Guides testing Camp.

7. Scout/Guide should fill up the form in his / her own hand writing neatly and legibly without any cutting or overwriting. Capital letter to be used wherever applicable. Please note that over- writing/cutting on registration form will NOT be considered by  NHQ, New Delhi.

8. Date of Birth certificate should be given in the registration form only (Printed over-leaf on registration form). Date of Birth should be supported by a certificate issued by the Head of Institution where the applicant is studying. In case the candidate has appeared for Board examination, photocopy of the Board certificate duly attested should be attached.

9. The Dates of completion of Pravesh, Pratham Sopan, Dwitiya Sopan, Tritiya Sopan and Rajya Puraskar should be as per the progressive advancement provided in APRO Part II /III for Scouts & Guides. Candidates attending Prospective Rashtrapati Award Testing Camp should produce Progress Test Card from the date of joining the Unit at the time of registration and when demanded by an Examiner during the Testing camp.

10. The Date of completion of Rajyapuraskar will be last day of the testing camp.

11. The Proficiency Badges should be completed within the Stage during which the Scout/ Guide/Rover/Ranger work for attaining the next higher stage. All Proficiency Badges must be tested by the Independent Badge Examiner appointed by the Badge Committee (District/ Local Association) and required details be given in the information sheet. (Unit Leader is not eligible to be the Independent Badge Examiner of the same Unit). Information Sheet will have to be completed and attached in duplicate with the registration/applications forms. Certificates of the Independent Badge Examiners should be countersigned by the concerned District Commissioners and to be produced by the candidates in the testing camps.

12. The Proficiency Badges of Rajya Puraskar level is to be completed after Tritiya Sopan.

13. Paste Passport size colour photograph of the Scout/Guide in proper and correct  uniform duly attested by the Principal.

14. A copy of the Rajya Puraskar Certificate or if not yet awarded, a provisional Certificate should be enclosed.

15. The requirements for Rashtrapati Award such as Camping, Ambulance (man) Badge, Service Project, Hike and CD project, Badge Instructors / Teaching Games are to be completed after completion of Rajya Puraskar.

16. A Unit Leader producing Rashtrapati Scout Award must also work for Prime Minister Shield which are linking the 36 Hours sustained service (spread over 2 months) provision in the syllabus relevant to the provisions of Community Service Project and Community Development Project in Prime Minister  Shield and Upa- Rashtrapati Award Scheme.

17. The duration of Project undertaken i.e. Hike, CD Project should be as per APRO Part II/III. The CD Project should be spread over at least in a period of six months.

18.Skills from Pravesh to Rashtrapati will be tested in the Prospective Rashtrapati Award Testing Camps.

20.One copy of the registration and information sheet should be kept in the respective Regional offices.

21.Two copy of the  registration forms and information sheets along with  necessary documents should reach this office latest by 30^th May 2014.

Late submissions will not be entertained in any case.This may please be given top priority. Please also provide list of Scout/Guide (Separately) in the following proforma in MS Excel both in hard copy and soft copy socskvs@gmail.com.
